KHRÔMA BLANC

VIN DE FRANCE BLANC

Inspired from old Greek, Khrôma means colour, declined in white, orange and red.
The picture represents migration of a drop of wine used to analyse malolactic fermentation progress by chromatography.

TERROIR : Visan is located in « enclave des Papes » in north Vaucluse.
Young vines of Grenache gris and Carignan blanc on clay and limestone soil with
stoneware, flint and quartz. 40 years old Bourboulenc on Clay and sand soil. Altitude: 230 to 380 meters.

BLEND : 1/3 Grenache gris – 1/3 Carignan blanc – 1/3 Bourboulenc

WINEMAKING AND AGING : Harvested by hand and directly press in 100% whole bunch. Light settled and 100% fermenting with wild yeasts in 500L French oak barrel. Aging on lees during 8 months 100% in 500L French oak barrel.
Light filtration before bottling.

PÉTUGUE

VIN DE FRANCE ROUGE

Pétugue is the provençal name of the hoopoe, beautiful migrant bird who is coming every spring in our garden.

TERROIR : Visan is located in « enclave des Papes » in north Vaucluse.
50 years old Grenache and 60 years old Cinsault on clay, rolled pebbles, limestones and flint. Altitude: 300 meters.

BLEND : Grenache noir 60% – Cinsault 40%

WINEMAKING AND AGING : Harvest by hand. 50% destemmed and 50% whole bunch. Co-fermented by wild yeast and infused during 4 days.
Aging 6 months in tank on fermentation lees. Light filtration before bottling.

KHRÔMA ROUGE

CÔTES DU RHÔNE VILLAGES VISAN

TERROIR : Visan is located in « enclave des Papes » in north Vaucluse.
Soil: Clay, rolled pebbles, limestones and flint.
50 years old Grenache and 35 years old Carignan and Syrah. Altitude: 250 to 380 meters.

BLEND : Grenache Noir 50% – Carignan 30% – Syrah 20%

WINEMAKING AND AGING : Harvested by hand. 70% destemmed and 30% whole bunch. Fermented by wild yeast and infused during 10 to 15 days.
Aging 6 months in tank on fermentation lees.
Light filtration before bottling.

COMBAUCHE

CÔTES DU RHÔNE VILLAGES VISAN

Combauche is the name of the « lieu-dit » where we have our oldest vine of Grenache planted in « Gobelet ». This is our first plot selection.

TERROIR : Visan is located in « enclave des Papes » in north Vaucluse.
80 years old Grenache and Carignan on clay.

BLEND : Grenache noir 95% – Carignan noir 5%

WINEMAKING AND AGING : Harvested by hand. 75% destemmed and 25% whole bunch. Fermented by wild yeast and infused during 12 days.
Aging 8 months in tank on fermentation lees.
Not filtred.

LES BLANQUETTES

VIN DE FRANCE ROUGE

Les blanquettes is our second parcellaire from a steep vineyard of carignan and grenache on clay and limestones white gravels who gives the colour of the soil and the name of the plot.

TERROIR : Visan is located in « enclave des Papes » in north Vaucluse.
Selected plot of 40 years old Carignan on limestones gravels and 80 years old Grenache on clay soil. Altitude: 250 to 350 meters.

BLEND : Carignan noir 80% – Grenache noir 20%

WINEMAKING AND AGING : Harvested by hand. 100 % destemmed
Fermented by wild yeast and infused during 15 days.
Aging 8 months in tank on fermentation lees.
Not filtred.
